It has not been possible to organise the visit to the Lamport Railway scheduled for Thursday 20 July. As an alternative for the evening I have prepared a Brixworth Treasure Hunt starting and finishing at the Heritage Centre in Church Street.

The leisurely walk, looking for the answers to the 25 clues, will take you approximately one hour to complete.

You can start the Treasure Hunt at any time between 7.00pm and 7.30pm. All answer sheets must be back to me for marking by 9.00pm.

There will be a prize for the winning team or individual.

At their meeting in May members unanimously approved the new constitution. This will now be sent to the Charity Commissioners as the next step towards becoming an official charity.

Seats are filling up fast for our trip to Worcester on June 17 2000 but a few seats are still available to any late comers. Price is £15.

Plans are well advanced for our float in the Brixworth Carnival on July 8. Details are of course top secret and on a “need to know” basis only to prevent possible plagiarism.

We have asked the County Council to keep us informed of their intentions regarding the sale or disposal of the old school buildings in Church Street as the BHS might have an interest in its future use.
