Guided Tours
Visitors to this site may be interested to know that our archivist has access to Brixworth Parish Council’s minutes from 1894 to 1997 inclusive. If you would like us to check out a particular item please contact us and we will be pleased to assist if we can.
This year we started to offer guided tours of Brixworth. We have had a very favourable response and plan to offer more of these in the future. A variety of tours are available ranging from a leisurely one hour walk around the very attractive Conservation Area to a more extensive tour taking in more of the village’s historically important buildings including a visit to the world famous Anglo Saxon parish church of All Saints. To round off your visit we can arrange various refreshments as part of the package. These range from tea & coffee in The Heritage Centre to an a la carte meal in one of the village’s Inns. Please contact the Secretary for more information or to book a tour.
Our visit to Portsmouth was a great success with about 36 members and friends enjoying the guided tours around HMS Victory, Warrior and Mary Rose together with impromptu visits to some famous birthplaces including those of the bus driver and our illustrious Chairman.
