The next meeting of the Society will be a first when one of our own members is the speaker.

The meeting is in the Village Hall on Thursday November 15 starting at 7.45 pm as usual when Roger Green will be giving a talk entitled “There’s nowt so queer as folk”. I understand that this is a talk on Northern humour what he wrote himself !

Well done to Les Hawkins who recently underwent an operation and is now well on the way to a full recovery. We look forward to him running the raffle again, not I hasten to add that Ron didn’t do a splendid job in Les’s absence.
