Despite a very rainy night 31 members braved the elements to attend the AGM.
They were able to hear that 2003 had been a successful year for the society with well attended meetings and a financial surplus as well as a 33% refund to those who went on the trip to Chester.
The programme for 2004 is now available on another page. Details of our planned trip to Normandy in July are described more fully in an earlier news item.
Our next meeting is the AGM on Thursday January 15 2004 at 7.45pm in the Village Hall. All members will have a chance to find out the exciting activities we have planned for 2004. Don’t miss it. New members are very welcome; if you thought AGMs were boring you haven’t seen ours!
Remember the 60th Anniversary of D-Day 2004.
-Visit Gold Beach where our troops landed in 1944.
-Walk on Pegasus Bridge that was taken by the Ox & Bucks Light Infantry on 5th June.

These are just a few of the highlights that Brixworth History Society has selected to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day.
