Heather’s Autumn Update
The Autumn season is almost upon us!
The History Society is now back indoors after enjoying some varied summer events locally and abroad.
At our first meeting in the Village Hall on the 21st of this month we are being entertained by James Skeggs and Stuart Cooper (with full supporting cast from the Drama Group) with a private and exclusive performance of “The Hollow Crown”.
The hall will be laid out in caberet style with tables and chairs rather than in rows. Nibbles will be provided. There will be a licensed bar but soft drinks will be available for sale as well. We are intending that tea and coffee will also be provided if that is your preference.
Please note that the “order of service” on the night will be as follows:
7.45pm History Society Notices and Business. Raffle Tickets for sale as usual.
Get your refreshments for start of performance.
8.00pm “The Hollow Crown”.
There will be a 15 minute interval when the raffle draw will take place.
Refill glasses.
The performance is expected to finish at approximately 10pm.
Please note that the Hall and Bar will be open from 7.30pm to 11pm so if you would like to arrive earlier to socialise and select your table then feel free to do so!
If you have any village photographs taken during June then bring them along and we will have a collection point in the hall.
