History Society Trips and Outings
During the summer months the Society organises evening visits to local heritage sites.
In June each year there is a day trip to a place of interest further afield.
In 2004, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the D-day landings, we went on a long weekend to the Normandy Beaches. This proved so popular that we have had trips to various European countries each year since.
In 2014 we stayed in Mons and visited various places of significant WW1 interest. One of these was the Ploegsteet Memorial where we laid wreaths in rememberance of three men from Brixworth whose names are commemorated on the memorial.
